MG5450 - Switch off completely the printing functionality and use only scanning

Hi all,

I used Canon Pixma MG5450. The Printer head gave up, means already at starting I get a Blocker Message, I cannot do anything.

Question: Can I somehow switch off completely the PRINTINGf functionality, so that I only use then the SCANNING?

I am interested in any kinds of hacking, to solve this.
