I just took the NEW printer out of the box and have followed all advice about error 6000 but no resolution. I would really dislike shipping the unit back (bought it thru Amazon) for a great price but right now, can't get the thing to work properly !! Do I need to install the software on my laptop first? thanks for any help ...Kathy

I was in the setup phase, had followed all directions then I turned the power on and the machine started to "clean heads" on the cartridges or "align heads" on the cartidges. Then the grinding noise and I turned the unit off. Same sequence occurred 4 more times. Please advice...this is a brand new printer !
