IJ scan utility no longer working after MAC OS upgrade (MX452)

yanivsk

Hello,

I'm using MACos Catalina v10.15.3. My printer is MX452.

The IJ scan utility is no longer working since I've upgraded my MAC os. I tried downloading a new Cannon software from the support page, but IJ scan utility is not available.

Any ideas of what to do? New IJ scan utility version or an alternative software?

Thanks

Hi,

While there is no printer driver listed for Catalina, there is a version of the IJ Networking Utility available for 10.15

[Ver.4.7.2]
- macOS Catalina (10.15) has been added as a supported OS.

Thanks for your reply.

Is there an alternative tool that can be used for scanning documents?

the Networking utility indeed works on Mac but doesn't solve the scan issue.

thanks

Hi yanivsk,

The PIXMA MX452 is not supported with macOS v10.15. You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program.  This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system.  This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

To help you get up and running quickly, we also offer free standard shipping (if the order is completed by 12:30PM ET).  If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 seven days a week, 8am to Midnight.  Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
