I also have the mx 822.. it does NOT auto append the date, i do not need the date and 0001 saved on each document. Please tell me this can be turned off. I have looked through all the settings in the 'Quick Menu' which to be honest.. also bums be out. The Navigator that I used with the 822 was much better. It also allowed me to save a scan wherever I I wanted without having to 'add' new folders for each scan. Would love to know if this can be changed as well.
