I have a MX870 Pixma printer that is printing a vertical line on copies. Why? What can I do to fix?

I have a PIXMA MX870 that is printing a vertical streak that holds no ink. Also the letters are wobbly especially where the streak is. I cleaned it but did not help. Who can I call for assistance.
