An ip address as per Apple is needed to connect a Canon MG3620 printer to a Macbook Air. I had to order a usb cable from Amazon for $6.99 today which doesn't come with the printer to continue to make the connection after Apple helped me download the drivers for the printer. i don't know if it prints 2-sided copies.
