I would like to know how to decrease the automatic white border that is printed with any page that includes a background color. This border is a complete nuisance, and supposedly, is not to be disabled by selecting "borderless", which is for use with photo paper, or something.
What is really strange is the fact that the border is not even uniform in size. On the long sides of the page it is always wider than the short sides of the page, whether in landscape or portrait orientation.
My biggest gripe is that with all the decorative borders available in Microsoft Word, how can any printer be designed in this way, because even if one of these decorative borders are used, the page will still print this automatic white border.

Hello.
Borderless printing is only available for photo printouts. When printing a document the options are limited. You can try reducing the margin settings for your document to see if this will help. If the issue persists you may have to try using a different program that will allow more coverage if at all possible.
