If photo or specialty paper is being used, please check to make sure that correct settings have been selected. If plain paper is being used, the quality may have to be increased.
To increase the quality of your printouts on plain paper, select Preferences or Properties for the MP470 from the print dialog screen and change the quality to 'High'. If a different type of paper is being used, be sure to change the Media Type option appropriately.
If the MP470 is still able to print black documents or objects from different programs without any issues, but the issue remains with Indesign, you may have to save or export the files to TIFF or PDF format and then print them from a different program.
