Hi Everyone! I'm hoping to get some guidance in this community as I haven't been able to find the info I'm looking for elsewhere online. Long story short, my Pixma MG 3120 printer/ scanner won't turn on. When plugged in, all I see is the steady yellow warning light. Does anyone know how to hard reset it? I've tried the hold the power button for 2 sec then stop/reset for 2 sec and press the stop/ reset 5 times thing but that didn't work. I have an iMac running OS 10.5.3 Catalina. It shows up in the System Profiler under USB > Device. So that tells me the computer sees it to some degree. I've also tried calling Canon but the operator said since it's a legacy product, there's no more phone support. She just transferred me to an AI voice that told me to refer to the Canon support page which doesn't have any info for this problem, which leads me here. This model has been awesome for years and I'd hate to just throw it out if there's an easy fix I'm unaware of. Could really use some help on this! I appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Thanks for letting us know your printer model. The PIXMA MG3120 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!
