My printer says there's something to download from the server, but the website says I don't need to. Do I need to? If not, how do I clear the message from coming back?

My apologies, it's a MacBook that's still on Catalina 10.15.7 and it's WiFi. Works fine, I can reset the message w/OK, just tired of having it reappear when I'm then told it's not needed.
