G7020 color print head CH-20
Bought for my wife who makes calendars for the extended family. When she went to print calendar pictures last year, the color printing was terrible. We did the flushing, and all the things it said to do and it would work poorly for one picture then had to repeat cleanings each time. I tried to buy a replacement head then and it was out of stock. A year has gone by and each month I looked it up and still out of stock. Now a year has gone by, and time to make calendars and no printer. I bought this Canon printer because I mistakenly thought Canon was a good  brand and the ink tanks were a good idea. At this point in time if Canon would lend me a working printer until the print heads are available that would be the right thing to do. When I get the print head, I would happily return the printer.

I did contact support team and they just had me repeat all the steps I had taken already and none of those steps fixed the problem. The problem is the color print head appears to be bad and the bigger problem is the replacement print head CH-20 has been out of stock for over a year. Funny how the part appears in a new printer but can’t be supplied as a replacement part. So I’m left with the only option of purchasing a print head from another vendor and hope for the best. Not a good business model if you want to maintain a loyal customer base. BTW I have a couple of Canon SLR cameras and those I swear by. Your printers I swear at.

Apparently, the ink print heads dry out if not continually used. I experienced the same with no OEM print heads available from Canon. been trying for over 6 months. Remanufactured print heads do not provide the quality of OEM.

Very frustrating. I would like a credit from Canon so I can purchase a quality printer.
