Canon paper tray loading instructions at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6wnSJ1ZTSg.  Have you looked at the underside to inspect the paper feeding area and mechanism?

Greetings ,

Is it possible you have the paper tray partially extended?  It supports legal size paper and probably could extend farther so make sure the tray is set for 8.5x11 if that's what you're using.

I did followed the video, didn't work. I had removed the tray because it said there was a jam (Error 1300), then the tray wouldn't go in

I double checked and it is set correctly at 8.5. The whole problem started when I removed the tray because it said there was a jam (Error 1300).

We understand you're having trouble with your G7020 paper tray and the Error 1300 message. This error typically indicates a paper jam. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve this issue:

  1. Check the Rear Tray: Make sure there are no obstructions or jammed paper in the rear tray. Remove all paper and inspect the tray thoroughly.
  2. Inspect Inside the Printer: Open the printer and carefully check for any torn pieces of paper or obstructions inside. Use a flashlight to get a better view.
  3. Paper Size Setting: Ensure the paper size is correctly set to 8.5 inches as you mentioned. Sometimes, even if it's set correctly, re-adjusting it can help.
  4. Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes reset the system and clear the error.
  5. Clean the Paper Feed Rollers: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the paper feed rollers inside the printer.

Thanks - it worked. I had cleared a jam just before, but I heard he rollers spinning and it must sucked another sheet in.

So glad that you got it fixed!
