Hi Danny. I have a canon MG5420 printer. First I received  error code B200. Now the printer wont' turn on. Before that the cartridge would not move and then the power went out.

My experience with this error told me that in most cases the best way is to replace the printhead

thanks I will try that if my printer comes on

As your printer does not power on I think it better to check the power supply first. In any way, please try followed - open printer cover and manually move printer carriage to the left position, close the cover and after try to turn it on. The issue that you described is ofter related to the PS or mainboard power overload due to mechanical issues with carriage mover

Hi Eugenia83,

The B200 error is an indication that your PIXMA MG5420 would require service.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monady throuigh Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
