My beloved Pixma MG2200 printer/scanner has given up the ghost and I need to get rid of it. I've seen the question about other related devices, but not my specific one. Does the MG2200 have a hard drive that needs to be erased before I recycle it and if so, how do I do that?

There is no hard drive.
There ARE printers that have (or can add) hard drives in them for file storage. They are typically high-end workgroup laser printers. I don't think there are any inkjets that qualify.
