Since I got this printer last year, the colors have looked "off"...they look like they are too light, but both the color and black cartridges are nearly full. These are the original cartridges that came with the printer (I don't print at home often) and it has been like this since the day I opened the box. I tried to google the solution, but couldn't find anything. I would very much appreciate anyone's help-thank you!

Hello!
Even with full cartridges, a printer that produces light or faded colors right out of the box often has a problem with clogged printheads or incorrect settings. The most likely cause is that the printhead nozzles are clogged with dried ink, which you can often fix by running the printer's built-in cleaning cycle. Additionally, check your computer's print settings to ensure the quality is set to "Standard" or "Best" and not a draft or economy mode. If those steps don't work, there could be a deeper hardware issue. Since the problem has been there since day one, you may be able to get a replacement under the manufacturer's warranty.
