Canon inkjet Printer Scanner CDROM isn't compatible with Windows 8 I have a 64 bit

How can I get my computer to accept CDROM for Pixma MP150 . i can't use for anything but printing from the computer and I want to use other features of the printer . Can you help me please

The installation CD that came with the printer will not work with the Windows 8 operating system, and there are not updated drivers for the printer; as such, we are unable to guarantee that the scanning function of the printer will work with Windows 8.  Please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page for other options we have available for you.
