Canon Pixma MP530 sounds like it is printing, but just prints a blank page. No error msg.

Printer feeds paper through, sounds like it is printing, but it is a blank page.  Print nozzles are fine.  No error msg.  I unplugged it and plugged it in again.

windows 7 .  Laptop computer HPG60-630us notebook.  Printer and computer are 6 yrs. old

I put all new compatible ink jets in December.  I don't print that often, but it has been printing.

Did the print nozzle test and printed that out fine.   No discolorations or separations, etc on the paper

I went to printer properties , test print  (no test print page came out; ) trouble shoot; next; select printer-canon pixma mp530 was already checked.  It then said troubleshoot cannot detect problem.

It copies fine.

In the past, after I clicked on print, I would always get a little pop up window with a picture of the printer and asking me to ok to continue, etc.  I'k click ok and then it would print.    Now after I click on print, I don't  get that little pop up window.   It just goes into sounding like it is printing and feeding the paper out blank.  Is there anything else I should check in print properties?  When I googled this problem, they talked about print drivers. When I clicked on one of these sistes, Norton, said it was a bad site.

Hello.

Try printing a new nozzle check pattern and see if the black grid pattern appears above the color bars.  Does the test pattern print correctly?
