First, please print a nozzle check. To do this, please follow these steps:
1. Swipe the HOME screen of your printer and then tap the wrench and screwdriver icon.
2. Select Maintenance.
3. Select Print nozzle check pattern.
4. Select Yes.
Please compare your printout with the example below. If your printout is missing the black grid at the top or any of the color bars, please perform printhead cleanings:
1. Swipe the HOME screen of your printer and then tap the wrench and screwdriver icon.
2. Select Maintenance.
3. Select Cleaning.
4. Select Yes to clean the printhead.
5. Select Yes to print another Nozzle Check.
If the nozzle check does not print correctly, please perform 2 or 3 more cleanings.
If the nozzle check still does not print correctly, your PIXMA MG6821 would require service. You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
