I'm installing this printer on a new PC. And this is an issue every time on a new computer.
The PC installs the drivers no problem...sees the printer etc. Go to print and it times out "Error Printing". I made it my default printer so Windows doesn't manage the printer(have had issues previously with this).
I've turned the printer on and off multiple times, restarted my PC multiple times. Started and stopped the Print Spooler, updated drivers thru device manager etc. No dice.
Interestingly it will scan thru the "My Image Garden" software to my PC. So communication is there.

I fixed it. I uninstalled it and let Windows install it and it chose to install as a "WS" Printer. So it worked. I tried originally installing from the Canon Driver rather than adding it thru Windows.
