Cannot reinstall driver for TR7520

I accidentally deleted my TR7250 printer from Printers/Scanners on my iMac running on Catalina .  I went to the ij.start.canon and downloaded the Setup, but every time I enter my password to allow setup to install the Helper Tool, it simply closes and will go no further.  HELP!  I'm thinking I have to delete some .plist files or something but this is driving me crazy!

I went to [Removed 3rd party link per forum guidelines] and relearned how to restore my Canon application from Time Machine.  Works great!  Gotta love Macs and Time Machine.
