Cannon MX870 printer black ink will not print?

Hello, I was wondering if this is a usual occurance and how can I fix it?

Both the 221BK and 220PGBK will not release ink/print.

I have cleaned, aligned etc and the other wells are working and these two are not. I just spent $120 for new ink cartriges and I am hoping for a fix before I get frustrated and toss the product.

I pulled out the cartridges to see if any stickers were in the wrong place and that is not the case.

Please offer fix.

When your PIXMA MX870 does not print correctly, the first thing to check is to verify that there is ink in the ink tanks.  Next, perform a few printhead cleanings to clear a possible clog of the printhead.
