We apologize for the inconevniencel however, due to the age of this scanner (originally relased in 2001), there is not a driver available for the Windows 8 OS. If you are interested in a scanner that has Windows 8 compatiblity, we suggest that you take a look at theCanoScan LiDE 110! This great scanner has Windows 8 compatibility, and a high scan resolution than your curent model. We hope this helps!
