“Can not communicate with the printer”

Hello, I’ve read a forum like mine before
My printer is a Pixma MX492 and I know it’s connected to the same network as mine because I have to reconnect it after every use which had got to be annoying and I know it isn’t air print compatible so that’s an eliminated option. Whenever I want to print something it ALWAYS gives me the printing screen but later gives me the “Can not communicate with the printer” which is where I reset the network. After that it gives me the same message again and I turn it on and off continuously until it randomly finally lets me print. I really need this fixed because it’s ruining my experience with the printer
