Hello.
You can use the Grayscale option in the printer settings to print in black and white. This will allow you to print color items in black and white.

I was told by a Canon tech customer assistance individual that using "Gray Scale" uses a lot of color ink (moreso than normal) as colors are used to get the shades of gray. Is this correct? Is there any other way to print black and white only on a Pixma?
