Black ink only printing: Pixma 3120

I have selected plain paper and grayscale and borderless.  I have selected black only ink from the maintenance tab.  I still get a popup that is forcing me to use the color ink or cancel printing.  Please help!  Thanks.

Some documents require that the color ink be used to print, even if the black only and grayscale options are selected in the printer driver; what type of document are you trying to print, and what version of Windows do you have on your computer?
