Software and Mac

I have a Mac with 10.4.9 software. I loaded the software and then the updates. However after the updates the computer could see the camera was attached with the USB portion but the image browser says its not compadable with my mac. I was trying to shoot photos in RAW but the computer can only download them into iphoto and it doesn't know the difference. How do I get the software to work? I love my mac and my canon- but its crazy that they can't work together....

Hello Ahobokenrusso,

The Mac OS that you are using is actually too old of a version to be supported.  You should consider updating your OS to a more current version, specifically - above 10.6 but you might want to go to the highest version your computer architecture will support.
