DPP metadata and keywords

Hello,

I'm sorry if this question has been asked a lot already, but the search function doesn't work very well.

I'm wondering if DPP allows us to edit the keywords on .CR2 files? If it doesn't, how does everyone do a search for files?

Hi J_Almonte!

Thanks for posting.

DPP can only view the metadata, such as keywords and descriptions.  This metadata cannot be edited or specifically searched for in DPP.  This will need to be done with other image editing software, such as ImageBrowser EX.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the response. I have one other question, I was able to add tags to my photos in ImageBrowser EX, I'm just curious, does it write that information to the file, or is it contained in the ImageBrowser software? For example, in the future, if I'm using a different program, will the tags/keywords still be associated with the photo?
