I've downloaded the recommended version for MacOs Big Sur, plus the update, and am receiving this message, when I click on "Remote Shooting":
"A Compatible Version of EOS Utility is not installed"
Has anyone experienced this?
Thank you in Advance

What version of EOS Utility are you using? According to Canon, the 5D Mk II is supported by EU 2, but not EU 3.

It is version 4.16.11

That number is Digital Photo Professional. Has nothing to do with Remote Shooting. Where are you clicking it?
EOS Utility is what does Remote Shooting. Do you have EOS Utility installed at all?

Ah, I looked at DPP. It has a menu item for Remote Shooting. Clicking on it open EOS Utility. That means you have to have EU installed. Did you do that?

Yes. I'm sorry. I have 2.14.31 downloaded.

So, EU 2.14.31 just plain won't open? With the camera connected to the computer and turned on?
Try installing EU 3 and see if it works.

EU 2 will open and capture, but it is not functioning with DPP 4. It is when I click on "Remote Capture" through DPP that I receive the "A Compatible Version of EOS Utility is not installed" message

Rather than fighting it, simply open EU directly from your programs menu instead of opening it from within DPP.

OK Thank you. This is my first time working with EOS for remote capture (obviously 🙂 I didn't know if I would be missing any features, nit operating through DPP.
Thank you for all of your help... and patience!
