Canon 5D MK I in DPP4: Lens Data not available

user2822422222

I have cycled through a few editors the past few years and come back to DPP4. While software like Lightroom and Darktable can all find the lens im using, DPP4 says Lens Data: Not Available. I have installed the lens data for the lenses in question (EF 24-105 F3.5-5.6 IS STM, EF 50mm f1.4 USM, EF 70-200 F4L USM) and this has not resolved the issue.

Is there any way i can select which lens is used manually?

Can you post one of the RAW files to One Drive Dropbox or similar file sharing site.

We're you running the EOS Utility v2?

There is no reason not to upgrade the firmware on your 5D at this point.  You're not going to brick anything using a smaller card. The camera will continue to support the smaller cards with the added ability to support up to 2TB.

V1.1.1 adds

1. It now supports high-capacity CF cards.
2. It allows the latest lens names to be recorded in the Exif information of images taken.
3. It adds lenses that are compatible with the Digital Photo Professional 3.2 lens aberration correction function.

Number two might solve your problem?  I would give it a go.

I get that error if I execute the program and no camera is connected. When you connect the camera to the computer is it recognized as a device?
