Hi,
I use my camera for remote shooting on a 9metre camera pole and to date, it has mostly been fine.
When Apple introduced IOS 14, things stopped working, but updating the Canon firmware on my G5X did the trick.
Now, following another Apple update, it's stopped working again. My phone picks up the wi-fi from the camera, but the "Camera Connect" app refuses to recognise the phone and just will not connect.
I'm on the latest firmware.
I've deleted the app from my phone, reinstalled it and restarted the phone.
I've tried forgetting the network and then connecting again - with and without passwords, but no joy at all.
I have three of these cameras and all of them have the same problem.
Does anybody know how I can resolve it?
For your information, the last time I had this issue, I went to a store and tried connecting my phone with a new G5X (wouldn't connect) and a G5X Mk2 - it was only the sales person suggesting the firmware update that stopped me binning the G5X's that day.
