Replacement Screew of Tripod Mount Ring B(W) for Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens

Hi strangers,

The screw of my Tripod Mount Ring B(W) has broken. I managed to take the screw off the tripod mount. It is just the plastic part broken and fallen off. Does anyone know where to find the replacement screw? The whole tripod mount is still in decent condition so it is sad to replace the whole thing and waste the money.

Thanks!

Greetings TheCanonMaster,

You may try calling our Parts Department to see if they may have the screw available for your tripod collar. They can be reached at 1-866-481-2569 from Monday through Friday between 9:00 am – 7:00 pm ET.

If you can't get a part from Canon, go to your local hardware store. Not your "Home Depot, Lowes, etc type of hardware, but the small local "old fashion" ones that carry all sorts of random hardware nuts and bolts type parts.  Bring the collar and the broken screw.  They should be able to match up the thread to something that has a wing nut head.

If you have the missing piece of the knob (or even if you don't), try epoxying the screw onto the knob.
