R5 MKII setup. Will using a 45Watt charger negatively hurt the LP-E6P battery's life?

Thanks,

Ron

Hi Ron,

Please tell us specifically about the gear you are using.  We need to understand how the battery is being charged?  V-Mount, USB-C PD, etc.  The primary difference between the LP-E6NH and LP-E6P is the continuous discharge voltage.

The charger I'm considering is USB-C PD 45W Fast Charger unit. I use both NH and P's. 95% in stills and sometimes a battery grip. That's about as complex as it gets.

Thanks

Greetings,

Please ensure the unit meets the following minimum specifications.  9v, 3.0A, 45w.  Note that batteries will not charge when the camera is powered on.  They won't deplete but they won't charge unless the camera is off or in standby.  You will not hurt your battery charging in this manner.
