I bought an SL3 last month, took 1 video of my cat in the house to try it out, left the battery in the camera, found out it was dead by the next time I wanted to use it.
Fully charged the battery for the next use, brought it to the beach, couldn't find the settings to get the video on screen before the battery ran out, re-tried it at home, the exact same thing happened.
Pretty sure canon sent me a bad battery, idk how to return it.

If you can't return the camera to where you bought it call Canon support at 1-800-OK-CANON.

I want to get another battery because the one they sent me was bad, I have things coming up to where I need the camera so I have to go generic until then, not spending an extra $100 on a canon brand battery when the first one I got went belly up in 1 take.
