Hi folks from across the pond
Help please. Its probably a stupid question, but I'm not very techie.
Canon EOS90D
last week new router and booster from same internet provider.
Swapped over settings to my Samsung phone and link to camera fine. Works in both on both home wifi and camera wifi.
I also have an 10 yr old mini ipad which I also use with my camera.
But this has gone pear shaped and didnt reconnect. So I decided to uninstall camera connect - and reinstall. Big mistake.
Now it can't see my camera at all, both in home wifi and canon wifi. When I try and use both home and canon wifi, the ipad it just says pairing in progress, but nothing happens, and no camera connect.
So I'm stuck!
Any advice gratefully received.
Don't worry about patronising me!

Consult your internet provider
I would recommend that you purchase your own wireless router to sit between your home computer network and the internet. Without it, you are connecting to a public network. That is not secure.

Hi Ramsden,
Welcome back. New router and extender from your ISP. if everything is able to connect and see one another, the config should be fine.
The Canon Connect App requires that you be logged in with your Canon iD. You can check the status in app using the hamburger menu (top right). An iPAD, even an ancient one can probably connect to a 90D if using as an access point.
Get the 90D broadcasting and look for its SSID on the iPAD. Once connected to the camera's wireless, you should be able to connect to the camera through the App.

Thanks guys. I'll try this out. I've been wearing in a new knee for a few weeks and camera hasn't been out much. I could have done without this, but at least its working through my phone, so I can download my photographs.
Best
