EFS to EF Lens Adapter Availability

Is there an adapter that would make an EF 2x Extender Canon Lens compatible with an EFS 55-250mm lens?
I do some youth sports photography (strictly for fun) and my 55-250mm wasn’t quite cutting it for the bigger soccer fields and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a new lens, so I bought this extender not even thinking about weather or not it would work. In my inexperienced mind Canon will work with canon, I should have know better. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Negative.  The EF-S 55-250mm lens is not compatible with Canon teleconverters.

I don't believe any Canon EF teleconverters are compatible with EF-S lenses. Only Full Frame EF lenses are. But not any EF-S lenses. For the OP if it's in your budget look into any of the Canon EF 70-200mm F/2.8L IS series lenses. Canon has released 3 revisions of the stabilized version. They also have released one unstabilized version.
