Mirrorless lenses CAN NOT be adapted to DSLR cameras. Mirrorless lenses are designed to sit closer to the image sensor and have a shorter flange distance. DSLR lens have a longer flange distance because there is a mirror between the image sensor and the lens. I recommend returning or exchanging the lens for the EF 28mm F/2.8 IS USM lens which IS compatible with your camera. EF-M, RF and RF-S lenses ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with your camera.

Hello, Cbarber55 and welcome to the forum 🙂

As Demetrius mentioned, no adapter available. However, if you are looking at the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 IS STM Macro because you like its attributes, like macro capabilities and built in ring light, check out the Canon EF-S 35mm f/2.8 IS STM Macro. I own this lens and use it on several of my APS-C sensor cameras (like your 90D). It's a pretty good lens in it's price range and the light is good, but only effective out to 5 or 6 inches. But that puts you in it's minimum focus distance where you can get 1:1 magnification, which is what you want for true macro 🙂
