Hello I recently bought a Canon R8 and an EF-EOS R adapter so that I could use my EF lenses on it. When I tried on the adapter it didn't seem to fit the camera's lens mount that well, and I felt like I kinda had to force it in. From a very preliminary search a few days back I learned that bad adapters can ruin your camera's lens mount, but this didn't seem to be one of those, so I'm wondering if this is normal or if I shouldn't use this adapter. I really wouldn't wanna ruin a brand new R8. Thanks.

Is it the Canon brand adapter? If not I suggest you return it and get the Canon brand.
