Canon Sl3 Hot Shoe adapter

Hi I have a canon sl3 and have not been able to find a flash compatible throughout my research. I came across the Canon AD-E1 Multifunction Shoe adapter and was wondering if i could use that on the SL3 and then use any brand of flash.

Nope. It is to adapt the R3's hotshoe to any flash.

All of the Canon flashes are compatible with your camera, so I don't see the issue.

Any Canon EX or EL series speedlite is compatible with your camera. IE the Canon 430EX II, 580EX II, EL-100 and EL-1 are compatible with your camera. Note older speedlites released prior to the 430EX II and 580EX II. IE 380EX, 430EX and 580EX are not compatible with the speedlite control menu. All settings with these older speedlites must be changed on the speedlite itself. Canon cameras released from 2007-Present support the speedlite control menu.
