Canon 2x extender rail mount question, PLEASE HELP!!!

I bought a canon 2x extender for my camera and CAN NOT AND NOT SURE what mount to get to mount on my rail.. I have a tameron 28-300mm zoom lens with a canon sl3 camera. I'm trying to mount this on my skytracker gti. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Canon telextenders are only designed to fit on certain Canon L-series lenses.

This one has the EF mount for this camera as does the lens.

It is not a mount issue. The canon extenders have a "nose" that inserts into the compatible EF "L" telephoto lenses.
Third party lenses don't have that recess.
