G40 Recoring Duration Display

Is there a way to change the viewfinder display of the recoring time from total recording time to the running time of the current scene, i.e. the time since the start button was pushed? I want to know how long the current scene has been recoring.

No, there is no individual shot running time. Options are to either reset the timecode before each shot or take a note of the start and end times.

Yea this is one of the thing I don't like about this cam. My previous cam HFS20 displayed time duration of current recording. I don't know why Canon changed it.
