Just copy them straight from the DCIM folder on the SD card to wherever you need them. Learning to actually manage files is an extremely important part of owning a PC.
Quick suggestion, don't worry about the software. Totally not necessary. Pop the SD card out, put it in your computer's card reader (or hook USB cable from PC to camera). Just use your file manager to drag and drop them somewhere on your hard drive. ...
