580EX -> Off Camera Shoe Cord 2 -> 6D Mark II
Will this configuration work?

I assume you have the older 580EX and not the newer 580EX II?
yes, It will work. The flash will behave just as though it is mounted on the camera. Because the 580EX is an older model, it is not compatible with the in-camera flash menu on the 6D Mk II. Most flash settings will have to be set on the flash itself.

Just make sure that it is a Canon off-shoe cord with all the pins. If it is, the flash and camera behave just as if the flash was connected to the camera.

Funny that you say "Just make sure that it is a Canon off-shoe cord with all the pins."
The box says "Off-Camera Shoe Code 2". Makes me wonder if it's a real Canon "Cord".

On the Canon website it is an "OC-3"
I am guessing Fake.

$80.00 US FAKE?

It is clearly not an original Canon, but marked with a Canon logo, What else would you call it? The Canon is called an OC-E3.
Do you really think Canon would spell "cord" "code"?

It is a fake because of the obvious typo using “code” instead of “cord”. But it is probably a fake Canon Off-Camera Shoe Cord 2 which predates the OCS-3.
