Rolls Royce

This Rolls Royce is owned by Lord Strathcorna's estate on the the Isle of Colonsay. The current Laird is the 5th in this landowning family.

The Rolls Royce is a 1935, 20/25 but unfortunately I can't accurately name  the type of body on the car, or its history.

It must be fascinating to see this on the local roads, which are all single track, with passing places.

Good photo that brings out a lot of nostalgia of the past for the car and its history.

My dream car when I win a big lottery. Once read that all R-Rs built are still on the road. A cousin attended a upscale college where the guys were driving the R-R that their grandfather bought new.

Yes, they have a lot of interesting history. I once heard that if they broke down, a team of guys would rush to the scene, and cover the car so it couldn’t  be seen as a broken down RR. 

Where I grew up in West Yorkshire, it used to be a very wealthy area with the woollen mills making a lot of money. The mill owners, by default all had a RR. One of our neighbours used to put on his chauffers uniform and drive the local mill owner to work most mornings.
