This lighthouse at Kimberly Point Park is an iconic symbol associated with the city of Neenah, Winnebago County, Wisconsin USA.
Unfortunately, the veterans memorial plaque is hardly noticed by most park visitors because the plaque is actually fairly small and placed very low to the ground. As I was setting up my shot, I noticed the woman walking her dog quite a way off to my right. I waited patiently and pressed the shutter just as they came into view from behind the lighthouse on this chilly March day. In the background, you can see that ice still covered Lake Winnebago on that day.
