EOS90D 100mm Prime
Taken this afternoon.
1st photo of a batsman who has just missed the ball, which you can see near his elbow.
2nd photo is the fielding side. The two players nearest the camera are called Slips, and the 3rd guy is the Wicket Keeper who squats behind the batsman and tries to catch the ball if the batsman missed or clipped the ball.

cool pics - made me want to lean a bit though 🙂 I'm sure it's an interesting game - have caught it a few times on the TV. I'm sure I'd enjoy it more if I knew the rules!

Thanks
Helps if you're born here, and better still in the county of Yorkshire. The irony will be lost, but we like our cricket and think we are the best County in the UK!

Really love the Yorkshire scenery in All Creatures Great and Small - hope to do the Dales tour someday. There was at least one episode involving cricket I think, and how seriously it's taken. Sort of like gridiron (American football) here and states like Texas and Alabama.
We also loved watching the two Fisherman Friends movies about neighboring Cornwall and Port Isaac. It was odd seeing places we saw in Doc Martin in a film about the real town. The Doc Martin American remake was a big disappointment to us in the writing. So many popular US TV shows got their start in the UK - The Office and Ghosts come to mind - I wonder how many, if any, make their way the other way across the pond.

Hi
Humour doesn't travel well, and there's a saying here that Americans don't do Irony, which I think is a falsehood.
I love the Yorkshire Dales and have cycled and walked them for decades. Great countryside and lovely villages.
The town I live near, Holmfirth, has an old TV series, called Last of the Summer Wine based around it. The locals dislike it!
Check it out for more good scenery.
'nuff said: cards on the table, where are you on Family Guy?

I have never watched Family Guy. I am a fan of Bob's Burger, though - maybe the only thing from that network I watch. I tried the Last of the Summer Wine but it was a bit too silly for my tastes. That said, there's a tonne of British humor I and we have loved for years. Fry and Laurie in Jeeves and Wooster was and still is amazing. The Fry and Laurie program was a lot of fun. British Ghosts was better IMO than in the US, but sadly didn't continue. When younger I was a fan of the Avengers (some humor - didn't hurt that Dame Riggs was so cute in my youth), the Prisoner (less humor, but really good stuff IMO), and, of course only an blithering idiot couldn't love Monty Python (for which the computer language Python is named - geekdom trivia). So yeah, I was hooked on British TV and humor pretty early on. I got hooked on Dr. Whom (want my grammar to be correct :P) later in life.

You certainly know your uk tv!
But you hit the nail on the head with Last of the Summer Wine. You can see why the locals didn't like it.
Im a tad boring when it comes to tv, and have a low tolerance level. Listen to lots of Radio- mainly BBC.
The temperature is a bit lower today, so hopefully get out with my camera and little dog, who has really suffered with the heat wave.
Take care
