Great photo. What were your settings? I tried the full moon last night at the recommendation of my wife. I have a T7 with the 150-300mm lens; settings are: AV, WB Auto (400), sRGB, Evaluative metering. I could add more but need to download the photo for full description. I could see the "man in the moon" clearly but the review of the photos showed a white disk.

Basically, since the moon is a bright sunlit object, you can start with the sunny f/16 rule.
Practically, your exposure meter is fooled because of all the black surrounding the image, especially if you are at 300mm. You need to dial in about -1 to -2 stops of exposure correction.
Though during an eclipse you need to boost the exposure back.

kvb, thanks. I thought it was something simple. Hard to read the buttons on the camera in the dark and using the screen of the cell phone to find them. I'm going to look tonight and bring out the Sigma 150-600mm.

I suggest a red light, it won't hurt your dark-vision so much.
