An owl is a bird that I had not (yet) photographed (except for some blurry cellphone shots) and wanted to do. So I asked Google where I could photograph owls near me. A local community college has an burrowing owl habitat that they maintain on their campus that I did not know about. In addition to burrowing owls, I saw (and photographed) an American kestrel, a roadrunner, ground squirrels and a butterfly. I enjoyed my visit!
If you look carefully at the first shot, the owl is holding his lunch in his left talon!
