A lesson in patience and flexibility

I spotted a segmented, white wall on the side of a building and thought it might serve as a good frame for a photo of a passing pedestrian or scooter. I took a few shots but it just seemed like most other panning shots you might see. I waited a whole 45 minutes without any particular idea of what to do next. I then caught sight of a character walking my way. I quickly changed the focus point to the wall rather than the subject, and slowed the shutter speed. I love how the shot seems to invite curiosity, maybe even some story.  
The lesson for myself—particularly when it comes to street photography—is to be patient to let the scene develop, but also to not head out with too much of an idea of what I wanted to capture.

Thank.s . I wonder if you can help. I do not see my own photo and wasn't sure it was displayed. Does this website just not show the poster's photo to the poster, or is there something I'm doing wrong in posting?

Yes, I can help because I did the exact same thing the first time I posted.  There are two sections where you can drag and drop.  Drag and drop into the text section to have your photo show up and be imbedded in the text.  If you drag and drop into the "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach" it adds the photo as an attachment that has to be opened. 

It would seem logical to follow the written instructions, doesn't it?  But apparently everyone figured it out or made the same mistake you and I made and had to be informed like us.

Ah, mystery solved. Thank you. So I guess this approach enters the opaque world of folklore and local institutional knowledge!  I'll pass it on.
