PIXMA TR4720 Scanner Not Connecting - But Printer Prints

Mrschains
Apprentice

Hello,

I got my printer a few months ago and loved how easy it was to set up, print, and scan right from my MacBook Pro.

I use it for casual printing and scanning, and it has always been a breeze. I printed a few things this morning, and the printer worked well. About an hour ago, I tried to scan something, and it failed to connect. I have turned the computer and printer off, installed and reinstalled, and deleted and added from system preferences, but it will not connect. I have also read the online manual and perused the Canon Community, but to no avail. The printer prints and I can make a copy, but the scanner will not connect. I am going out of my mind now.

If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You

Thanks for joining the conversation, Mrschains!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA TR4700 series.  The model number should appear on the front of the unit at the upper right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

Thanks and have a great day!

13.  Once that goes away, please turn your PIXMA TR4720 off.

14.  Next, please go to your router.  Please disconnect the power cord from the back of your router.

15.  Wait 30 seconds or so and then reconnect the power cord to your router.

16.  Once your Wi-Fi network is back online, please turn your PIXMA TR4720 back on.

Please attempt to scan when your TR4720 is ready.
