came to adding canon software to computer, (to my lenovo computer), so i could use scanner. it's an excellent scanner - no idea why you deem it unfit for purpose - but external disc drive does not now acknowledge the software or the device. no idea why. any help on this... is there something i need to do regards: configuring bus ports or computer per se? the computer allowed my adding of scanner to it a couple of months back... p.s failing all that do you still produce scanners which allow scanning of documents and photographic negatives - which is the selling point of this canon5600f?
